ABOUT
ABOUT
I'm Joe, I am drawn to building imagery that is personal yet relatable.
Filmmaking and photography are my go to forms of creative expression. I like to slow down, look closer, and make work that’s driven by emotion, connection, and curiosity - not just aesthetics.
You will see that I have an affinity for visual storytelling, an eye for detail, demonstrating both creative flair and a broad understanding of photography and storytelling across a variety of platforms.
I have worked in the Film and TV industry for almost a decade. As well as making my own work and developing my creative processes as a filmmaker and photographer.
I love photography and film, shooting both personal and commission based work, utilising a variety of digital and analogue techniques.

In 2020 I won a Royal Television Society Award for Best Edit in the North West student category.

Mr Lee receives his Prints!
One of my favourite photography moments of the last couple of years, my neighbour, and primary school caretaker, Mr Lee receiving prints of the two portraits I captured of him.
The inimitable Mr Lee, shot on a 55 year old Yashica Mat 124 TLR camera with Kodak Portra 400 film.
